Google Maps Platform is a set of APIs and SDKs from Google that allows developers to integrate maps, routes, and places data into their apps, websites, and business tools to improve location-based services and user experiences.

Google Maps Platform charges based on SKUs, which represent specific features or services within each API (like Place Details or Autocomplete in the Places API). Each SKU has its own price, and costs vary depending on how much you use them. Pricing is divided into three usage tiers:

0–100,000

100,001–500,000

500,001+

Your total cost is calculated by multiplying how many times each SKU is used by its price.

The amount of requests you can make to Google Maps Platform products has no maximum daily limit, and the only usage restrictions are related to the maximum number of inquiries per second (QPS). Developers who have a free Google Maps API key can use the API. Although the API is not completely free, most customers can get $200 in free monthly usage. The pricing adapts to match your specific requirements, and you are only paid for the time you spend using the API.
